Abstract


Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengembangkan handout berbasis Guided Note Taking pada materi koloid kelas XI MAN Banda Aceh 1, (2) Mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru terhadap handout berbasis Guided Note Taking yang telah dikembangkan pada materi koloid kelas XI MAN Banda Aceh 1, dan (3) Mendeskripsikan tanggapan siswa terhadap handout berbasis Guided Note Taking yang telah dikembangkan pada materi koloid kelas XI MAN Banda Aceh 1. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development dengan tahap (1) pendefinisian (define), (2) perancangan (desain), (3) pengembangan (development), dan (4) penyebaran (dissiminate). Data penelitian yang diperoleh berupa handout berbasis Guided Note Taking, hasil tanggapan guru dan hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap handout yang dikembangkan pada materi koloid. Penelitian dilakukan di MAN Banda Aceh 1 dengan subjek penelitian 34 orang siswa-siswi kelas XI MIA 5. Handout yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria penilaian dengan kategori sangat layak dengan persentase 85,41%. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian yang berupa angket tanggapan. Hasil tanggapan positif oleh guru kimia mengenai handout berbasis Guided Note Taking dengan peroleh skor penilaian 98% sedangkan hasil tanggapan siswa mencapai angka 80,26%. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar siswa-siswi pada MAN Banda Aceh 1 memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap handout yang dikembangkan dengan persentase 80,26%. Sehingga perlu adanya pengembangan handout pada materi lain.

Abstract

This study has several purposes to: (1) Develop a handout-based Guided Note Taking on the colloid materials in the XI class of MAN 1 Banda Aceh, (2) Describe the teachers’ responses towards the handout-based Guided Note Taking that have been developed in the colloid materials in the XI class of MAN 1 Banda Aceh, and (3) Describe the students' responses towards the handout-based Guided Note Taking that have been expanded in the XI class of MAN 1 Banda Aceh. The study used research and development method to obtain (1) the definition, (2) the design, (3) the development and (4) the dissemination. The data were obtained in the forms that consist of the handouts-based guided note taking, the results of teachers and students' responses towards the handout developed in colloid materials. In addition, the study was conducted in MAN 1 Banda Aceh by using 34 research subjects namely students of XI MIA 5 class. The handouts have the assessment criteria that were categorized as very feasible with percentage i.e. 85.41%. The study was carried out by using research instruments namely questionnaire responses. The study shows that the results of the positive responses from chemistry teachers towards handout-based Guided Note Taking reached 98% votes, while the results of students’ responses reached 80.26%. To conclude, this study shows that mostly students in MAN 1 Banda Aceh give positive responses to the handouts that were developed with the percentage of 80.26%. Thus, it needs for the development of handouts on another matter material.
